Morgan Junction still out

Just drove through Fauntleroy/California – intersection’s out, most businesses at that spot dark (Thriftway appears to still be on generator power), the businesses along California south of Fauntleroy are out too (Caffe Ladro, Subway, Starbucks, McDonald’s, etc.) though there’s spotty power on some parts of the left side of the street (like the Watermarke condo conversion). Full power picks up right after Seattle International Baptist Church. Going out in a bit to survey the waterfront areas. No wind left, at least. P.S. The City Light outage page doesn’t mention the entirety of this outage – it mentions Myrtle to Othello/38th to 40th (west slope of Gatewood) and Spokane to Charlestown/53rd to 55th.

We live in the Fauntlee Hills neighborhood and our power was out a bit but luckily came back on after about 1 1/2 hrs.

We had the same thing at Arbor Heights near the school and 104th. Power went off at about 3:15 and was back by around 5-ish. YAY!

K – we’re going to see tomorrow if we can find anyone at City Light willing to take a stab at it. We were thinking exactly the same thing. Those folks had an off-and-on nightmare not just during the first wave of powerlessness last December, but also over the course of the ensuing week or so.

I’ve begun to wonder the same thing.

Up until last year, there was maybe one significant (like out an hour or more) outage, in my time in this bulding, since I moved in in 2000.

My previous residence, on 42nd between Juneau and Raymond, had few significant outages, as well, in my 15 years there.

I can only recall two there. One of them being the Inauguration Day Storm in ’93.

I’ve got the same question. We’re in Sunrise Heights, and have had more and longer outages in the last three years than the 15 years before that. We were out yesterday from about 3-5 and then again from 9:30 last night until about 4:30 this morning.

Sorry, comment time is over.
