Bridges’ beauty

OK, so driving on them isn’t always a dream, butÃ‚Â an engineering group saysÃ‚Â the WS bridgesÃ‚Â areÃ‚Â among our area’s most amazing creations of the past half-century.

The link was loading really slow for me, so I’ll have to check it out at a later time.

I remember when the high-rise bridge was being built. It was awesome, from the perspective of the old lower level bridge, to see how high in the sky the new bridge was reaching! And, the first several trips over the high bridge were thrilling too!

Having spent many an occasion on the low-level with my bicycle waiting for the span to open/close I’ve had a chance to marvel at the beauty of both bridges. A week or so ago while waiting there was a group of loaded down bike tourers that commented on the beauty of the highrise too.
