If these people aren’t in the marketing biz, they should be

Here on the south side of WS, we noticed a multitude of signs last night for a yard sale that continues today — all on two-sided sandwich boards, no two sides alike. If you happen to stop by the sale site, give ’em props on our behalf. The fine print on #4 made us laugh out loud.

We stopped by the sale yesterday and complimented them on their great “campaign”. They had tons of things yesterday morning.

You missed the one advertising “suitcase nukes” in the fine print. I got a good chuckle out of that one.

Also saw Helicopter Rides, Live Band and “WWJD? He’d stop by our yard sale!” along 35th. It’s still going strong this afternoon.

I’d be interested to know where they kept so much “stuff” – the house had to have been packed head to toe with it!

We saw a garage sale sign outside Westwood Village that said “we have no friends here so we’re leaving.”

    Too bad we missed it.

My husband and I almost wrecked the car laughing at the WWJD sign. It was great marketing, we turned around and visited the sale. : )

And for those of you who like to pick over the leftovers, on Monday morning everything left is free. This family was loads of fun to visit with.

From the family, it was all in the house , but you would not have known. My mom lived in the 4300 square foot house alone and that does not include the 800 foot detached garage. the whole attic you could stand up in and there was not one bit of clutter to be seen in her obssesivly clean home.Five kids in and out of college and work, makes for a ton of kid storage and mom I’ll just leave it here tell April’s she also ran a daycare out of the home/the toys SHE WILL BE MISSED. all five of her kids love her

Thanks to all the people that let us talk about our mom this weekend. It was healing and we felt very supported by the community. It was more like a big support group than a yard sale (except for a few of you and you know who you were). Let’s do this again next year minus the death in our family. Blessings to you all.

To the lady that got Santa, share him at Christmas time with pride (I know you will)! To the guy wearing the full length fur coat, you go boy! To the wonderful gentleman who will have one of the most beautiful gardens with all Mom’s garden statues, I know she is proud to have someone like you taking care of them! And to all the rest…each of you have unknowingly brought into your homes an item that will no doubt bring you good karma and strength!

Sorry, comment time is over.
