… at least, you’ll want to be here if you’re a parade fan like us. Just got word that it looks like 11 am Saturday, July 21, for this year’s Hi-Yu Parade down Cali. (The Seafair parade downtown is one week later; Blue Angels, one week after that.)
And don’t forget West Seattle Summer Fest this year July 13, 14 & 15. If you enjoyed some of the changes we made last year, just wait & see what we have in store this year.
For all you car buffs, the Alki Beach Classic Car show is traditionally held on the same day as the Hi-Yu Parade. And don’t forget the arrival of the Seafair Pirates at Alki in early July. It’s a fun event that has really grown in recent years.
How did you get info on the parade? The official schedule has not been published yet, and I was just at a board meeting on Wed night (2/28).
The Alki Beach Classic Auto Show is run by the Jubilee Days people and since JD is not showing this year, the car show is in peril as well. We’re working on getting it folded into HiYu as well so that it maintains the run.
