We are talking about starting a game night here at Full Tilt because we love games and can not get away to play games with our friends. So is there any night that would work better for people than other nights?

Mondays and Wednesday's aren't good for me. But the rest of the week is open.

Consider being a sponsor of WSB -- as I have no idea where you are located. If I am missing your link in the sponsor's column, provide the pointer... I love great ice cream and miss the Pennsylvania Turkey Hill stuff or Cinci's Graeter's.

Full Tilt is actually one of the people that runs White Center Now, pretty good sponsorship already. New people to the blog may not know that of course.
Here is a link to Yelp on Full Tilt, right in the Heart of old White Center. Try the Horchata ice cream...mmm.

Full Tilt is about to go through some changes, and then we are going to sponsor WSB. The changes are good, I swear.

I have to give a major "woop woop" for Full Tilt. Was in there last Friday - what a great time. And great ice cream. I tried the Horchata, the Mexican Chocolate and the Mango Chili. All yums.
Hey Full Tilt - can you pretty please do a Black Licorice Ice Cream? It's the BF's fave, and we can't find it anywhere...and we'd rather find it at your place.

What games? Board games?
Posted 3 years ago # -
Jen, the reason I don't make it often is that I have to taste it. As Chris Rock said, "Proof that Racism exists is that they made the worst tasting candy black."
Posted 3 years ago # -
Oh yeah. Board games. Not the machines that I make you pay a quarter for.

SCRABBLE!!!

BACKGAMMON

c17...you're on!
Posted 3 years ago # -
i think this sounds like fun...
could we still get ice cream while we play?
i am NOT giving up the ice cream:)
Posted 3 years ago # -
Justin, we're totally down!! We love game nights. And we love your fabulous licorice-hating ice cream shop! (sorry Jen!) :) Wednesdays are bad for us, but most other nights are okay.
Posted 3 years ago # -
BTW, you could make an ouzo ice cream for all the licorice lovers and then at least you'd be loaded by the time you finished all the tasting. :)
Posted 3 years ago # -
I had an ouzo slushie in Greece...it was gooooooood. (And I don't like licorice...but I love a good ouzo.)
Posted 3 years ago # -
Full Tilt can you do something with white chocolate and cherries? I had something like it at Baskin and Robbins the other day with Hot Fudge and can just imagine how good it would be done with fresh ingredients.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Hmm. Tempting. We have some Settlers/Puerto Rico/etc. players here. Sadly, one of them would find an ice-cream shop life-threatening. But a couple of us could. Is it somewhat quiet?
Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays better.

Scattergories and pictionary!!! Ube ice cream and board games what a great idea; thanks Full Tilt!

Trivial Pursuit Millenium Edition!
Posted 3 years ago # -
Bring it on!
Posted 3 years ago # -
Let the GAMES begin...!
Posted 3 years ago # -
Apples to Apples is one of the best games ever! You can even play it while drinking...in fact it is better while drinking.
I believe Husky has licorice ice cream.
Posted 3 years ago # -
I love Apples to Apples. I'm also cwazy about scrabble. I could put a bid in for Rummikube too. We have a set of that at work for lunch time playing.
Posted 3 years ago # -
SO lets try Thursday. I will bring games tomorrow, bring what you want to play, and we will see what happens.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Any particular time? It might be a late night for me...
Posted 3 years ago # -
How about 7pm til 9
Posted 3 years ago # -
Are kids welcome?
We're a big Monopoly family.
Has anyone ever played for real money? My kids love it (especially when mom & dad are the bank)
$500 = $5.00
$100 = $1.00
$50 = .50
$20 = .25 (have to fudge on this one, but 4 quarters still equal a dollar)
$10 = .10
$5 = .05
$1 = .01The hard part is collecting the right amount of change so that everyone starts with exactly the right amount of currency. We've only played this way once, and it was fun.

We'll be there, but largely because we planned previously to bring Screemie down for Ice Cream for his birthday.
Apples to Apples Rocks. Best combo ever?

OMFG...ROFL, thanks for that! I am crying.
Posted 3 years ago # -
cool. I will see every one around 7pm then. Looking forward to this. We are not going to open until about 5pm tomorrow to allow our roof to be repaired.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Thanks for the comment about the WCNow sponsorship.... but I didnt know what White Center Now is until i scanned the blog column (duddh its a blog for those uninformed like me). While I go to Westwood Village frequently, I dont visit White Center very often, as I dont know of the businesses there..... I had no idea that there was a creamery nearby.... you will soon find me a regular visitor, as I have already broken my New Year's resolution more than once.
Posted 3 years ago # -
aww crap. we'll be out of town for the first game night!! damn. But we'll try to come to the next one!!
Posted 3 years ago # -
So then after game night we can all head over to Maharaja (?sp) for singles night. :)
Posted 3 years ago # -
I have been out of the singles life for a long time. I thought a singles outing and a game night were one in the same!
Anywho, I cannot do a Thursday night cuz of other commitments; but I will enjoy hearing how this Full Tilt event goes.Posted 3 years ago # -
I've been gone too long!
I knit on Thursdays ( actually many of us do).... If you change the day, please let me know. I seriously want to trounce all you sukahs at board games!!!
Posted 3 years ago # -
And by trounce I mean take ALL YOUR MOTHERS OUT TO LOBSTER DINNER AND DON'T CALL THEM BACK..... Oh you know you want to change that day o' the week because it's a battle now and stuff.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Knitta please!!! Your just afraid to come cause you know whats going to happen to ya.
Posted 3 years ago # -
Ohhhh, a throw down!
Posted 3 years ago # -
knitta...
bring the knitting and the knitters:)
Lots of games leave your hands free and i have seen what a knitter can do with her mind while somehow managing to stay on pattern... I suspect knitting is some Machiavellian strategy for boosting those little gray cells:)
We will try to be there....
Posted 3 years ago # -
is this for grownups mostly, or are kids welcome (it's OK if grownups only, I'm just wondering)
Posted 3 years ago # -
Kids are totally welcome.
Posted 3 years ago # -
OK, so quite a few people showed up for game night. We just ended up chatting though. Maybe this should be a little more organized? So, lets pick a game for next week. Scrabble has been thrown around as a suggestion quite a bit. Maybe an easy Euro board game? Any suggestions?
Posted 3 years ago # -
I would have come but I am still having problems with my bursitis. So hopefully we can do it again soon and maybe we can get TR to post something on the main page. I still want to do Backgammon that is my game! Hope to see you soon.
Posted 3 years ago # -
it was good conversation:)
Mrs Full Tilt would like to know where the knitters were so she could join them:)
Posted 3 years ago # -
I am so glad to hear that I didn't miss a night of gaming. I was so looking forward to going... next week then. (Not Monday please!)
