Marco and Tony both e-mailed to report an overnight car break-in at 32nd/Raymond (map) overnight and sent photos; the one above is from Tony, who notes that broken glass and a card from an investigating officer is not what you want to wake up to find in your car. Tony explains that he “called 911 @ 2 am, for shirtless man wandering the traffic circle yelling at apparently no one. … Police arrived, cuffed the individual, and investigated a car break-in. Not sure if both are connected but, car was 20′ from where they caught him … And the kicker – the car has Army plates. Way to support Vets on The 4th.”

I slept through it about 40 ft away. But according to another neighbor there was a 2 am screaming match by one or more females as well.

That’s my car! Thanks to Rudy for helping me sweep up the glass, and to Tony for dialing 911. This guy broke one window, scratched up another, and dented the fender. At least an arrest was made and it’s not the rainy season! This is police incident number 09-228351. Thanks

Let us know if the car goes untouched and it looks like the owner is deployed. I’d be happy to chip in for a mobile repair.

Our car was broken into last night as well. We’re on 40th ave and Oregon. Looks like they were looking for our GPS because like an idiot I left the little suction cup on the windshield. Luckily we took it in that night. Nothing else was taken except some quarters from the change tray. WTF??

We’re reporting it to the police now but keep an eye out.
