Love sushi and want to learn how to make it at home? There are a few tips and techniques that may seem daunting at first, but professional chef Carrie will share her secrets to make it easy! This class will cover some of the basics of making sushi: how to make proper sushi rice, chop the different vegetables, slice fish, and make rolls. We will make rolls such as the California roll, avocado roll, cucumber roll, and spicy tuna. We’ll also learn to make miso soup, sunomono, and discuss some of the history of sushi and how it became so popular. Appropriate for vegetarians and fish-eaters, no experience necessary. Bring your own apron.
