West Seattle Crime Watch: Robbery suspect caught; exposer alert

Two West Seattle Crime Watch notes this afternoon – first, a followup to the photos from last month’s Admiral Way 7-11 robbery:

The SPD Blotter item including seven photos from the robbery – as noted in our Crime Watch report late last night – is updated with news that police arrested the suspected robber, 15, in Kent today after a tip. The other two are now said NOT to be suspects.

Second, two reports of what’s believed to be the same man exposing himself in an Alki neighborhood. First, a woman spotted a man – wearing only a light-colored tank top – on Lander near Teig (map) at mid-afternoon Wednesday. She said he stared right at her; she describes him as white, very dark hair and eyebrows, “receding hairline along the sides of the top of his head.” She was so startled, she shouted at him, and he subsequently jumped into the bushes. Talking with neighbors later, she discovered one had seen the same man on December 26th – at that time, wearing nothing at all, and also “jumping into and out of the bushes.” Our tipster says it’s all the more alarming considering that Alki Elementary is not far from this area. It’s been reported to police.

I really hope they charge this boy as an adult, otherwise a slap on the hand and he’ll be back at it again and next time possibly kill somebody. I’m blown away by the ages of crime suspects these days, makes me so sad and obviously the parents aren’t doing their jobs.

Re the Alki exposer, there was a series of similar incidents in Alki several years ago. They were reported on the WSB at the time. The police finally caught him after someone chased him to his strategically parked car and was able to id it. Probably not the same guy, but who knows. And yes, I was one of his “victims.” It was like, very Eeew!

I wrote a comment about these troubled teens and the monitor took it down. What happen to free speech?
The tuba man should be made a city icon as an example of this negative behavior from teens towards hard working Americans.

Also maybe you didn’t see the 17 year old that raped and abused a young couple as their child was sleeping.

Zero Tolerance for this stuff would stop this type of behavior

But u soft suckers that think we need to pay the past injustice are blind to the reality of people and the world.

Stand up Seattle this is not the 1950s
    Everyone is equal

My wife and mother-in-law saw this man on Jan 3rd at 56th Ave SW and SW Teig Pl while on a walk after coming down the stairs there and crossing the street. He was just wearing a hooded sweatshirt and kept peeking out from behind some bushes in someone’s yard. Everytime they would look his way, he would duck behind the bush. He then just walked towards the house, looking at them the whole time. They didn’t see him go in the house though, maybe he lives in the area, or maybe not. She also says very dark hair.

No mention of the gun used by this 15 year old. Where is it, and how did he get it?

Oh wait, I forgot. It’s easier to buy a gun than it is a beer.

Sorry, comment time is over.
