And two more incidents police are working right now: In the 2300 block of California, there was an attempted stabbing. Nobody cut, the scanner clarified before we could even head out the door. They’re searching for a suspect. Then in the 5500 block of Delridge (map), police are looking for armed robbers who are reported to have held up the Super 24. 12:08 AM: Adding a photo. No indication of any arrests so far.

  5. “Out-of-season” nice weather seems to inspire wrong doing. Especially after dark. If it had been a soggy wintery night there would not have been so many things going on. Nice weather = people milling around outside & getting bored. I think.

  6. I would be interested in knowing if the attempted stabbing was a result of patrons at Admiral Pub.

  7. The attempted stabbing was the result of an altercation earlier in the evening. The assailant was walking with what appeared to be his girlfriend when he said “hey that’s the dude…” then proceeded to run towards the victim and hit him in the face with a metal coffee can he picked up off the sidewalk. A fist fight broke out between the two and continued into the street while the bystanders called the police. The girlfriend then ran back to her car and pulled up yelling for the assailant to get in their silver KIA SUV. We told the police which direction they were traveling on California but the declined to pursue them. Neither the victim nor the assailant had been inside the Admiral Pub that evening. After around about 1-1 1/2 hours the assailant returned to the Yen Wor Village and attempted to stab the victim before running off.
