We’re still checking around so this is probably NOT the final list. But this is who we know so far will be open at least part of the time on Thursday – at least as of our research done Monday. Thank you to Sue Scharff for volunteering to help with research! (Sue, by the way, is with the lively Zippy Dogs. No, not a hot-dog cart, not pet-walkers, rather, “your logo on fun stuff.”)

Admiral Pub: Serving a FREE DINNER from noon ‘til 5 pm!
Be’s Restaurant: 7 am ‘til 2 pm
Brickyard BBQ: 5 pm ‘til close
Charlestown Café: 7 am ‘til 5 pm
Christo’s on Alki: 8 am-3 pm (breakfast/lunch)
Easy Street Café: COFFEE ONLY 7 am ‘til noon
Feedback Lounge (WSB sponsor): 4 pm till close (limited food menu)
Mac’s Triangle Pub (Delridge/16th/Roxbury): opening 7 pm, serving food till 1 am
Taco del Mar (Junction): 10 am ‘til 5 pm (depending on customers; may be open later)
Tacos Guaymas: 11 am ‘til 3 pm
Tha Thaitan: 11 am ‘til 9:30 pm (formerly Boontin/Olarn, across from West Seattle Nursery)
Salty’s on Alki: (call to check if reservations are still available)

Note, we are NOT listing who’s closed – just who’s open. Anybody else serving on Thanksgiving? Please let us know (or add a comment here). We’re also just about done with the Thanksgiving coffee map and will have that on the Holidays page later today. And another reminder – there are also two FREE community meals in West Seattle on Thursday: The traditional Fauntleroy gathering at The Hall at Fauntleroy (old schoolhouse), noon-3 pm; West Seattle Eagles in The Junction, reviving an old tradition, 2-5 pm, plus Full Tilt Ice Cream in White Center is having a community potluck Thanksgiving at 4 (announced in the WSB Forums).

  1. I miss always being able to count on the Corner Inn to be open on Holidays :(

  2. Ten years ago my life and living situation was in a bit of a (temporary) jumble around Thanksgiving.

    .

Wasn’t able to communicate with most of my friends for a few days, so didn’t get my usual invites as a Thanksgiving orphan.

    .

So, I decided to head on down to the Corner, to see if they were open and serving a turkey dinner. Saw that Chuck & Sally’s was open, so decided to pop in for a beer or two first.

    .

Well, as luck would have it, they were serving up turkey and fixings, for like five bucks, with the proceeds going to charity.

    .

So, decided to stay there, and had a nice dinner with other Thanksgiving orphans! :)

    .

  4. miws – when I first moved to WS I had a similar experiance…I didn’t have any family in WA and had closed myself off from my friends who had reached out to me. It was Christmas and the only place I found open was the Corner…it was nice to talk with other folks who were looking for a bit of company. As far as Thanksgiving goes I had Swansons Turkey TV dinners alone for probably three years in a row. Holidays have always been hard for me but now I live close to family again after 20 or so years so I’m driving to my folks house for T-Day and looking forward to it…I hope you and all the other WSB folks enjoy Thanksgiving.

  5. The folks who run Thaitan are awesome. Same people who ran Boontin and Olarn before it, very good phad thai. Wasn’t a huge fan of their Panang, but the phad thai is my favorite in West Seattle. They JUST changed the name like a week ago after changing to Boontin like 6 months earlier.

  8. I was just at Admiral Pub. The signs all over the place read…” We are thankful for our friends and neighbors. The Admiral Pub will be hosting a free thanksgiving dinner. If you don’t have anywhere to go or the money to get there, spend the day with us! Tell your friends and come as you are. We will have a full turkey dinner, the tvs on football and free video games and pool. Spend Thanksgiving with your “other” family at tha Admiral Pub. “. I thought this was very nice. At a time when restaurants are having a very hard time the admiral is giving back. NICE JOB! That’s what a neighborhood business is all about.

  11. Thanks – last night’s breaking news pushed back the coffee map but I talked to Andrea yesterday and learned the news about the new name (we’d already reported the new ownership).

  12. Just a cheers to the Admiral Pub for offering a FREE Thanksgiving dinner. Just to add to what Stew said they are taking donations of food or cash for the West Seattle food bank. The bartender told me they were going to be around until nobody wanted to hang out. Not just till 5:00
