Urgent Reader Recommendation Request: Basement help

Some WSB readers still might not be able to post comments because of our ongoing tech work but if you are seeing this – you should be able to – and Cali in Seaview would appreciate advice:

> We are looking for a good service to call to help us with our basement flooding. We have tried everything all morning, it is not stopping. I am sure there are other people going through the same thing. Any help would be much appreciated.

  1. Depends a lot on where the water is coming in. If it is coming up from your drain in the floor you should consider O’Neil plumbing in WS. We think they are the best!
    If water is seeping up from the floor or from the walls; you likely have a different problem. We got ours permanently fixed by Rite-Way Waterproofing. Their website is awdryup.com. These guys are as honest as the rainwater guage is long!
    And one final caveat is that probably no plumber or waterproofing company is at the shop waiting for calls. I bet the wait list is long for everyone in the yellow pages. Good luck.

  2. I just had my basement waterproofed last week by PermaDry Waterproofing. They did a great job and were very professional 425-277-1990. I’m not sure what I’d do now if I hadn’t had my problem fixed last week!
