Thanks for posting it; it was a lucky catch. I know we have more than one local bald eagle, but since this one was so amenable and posed for a good 5 minutes in such a pretty spot, I gave it special status in my mind. Have a great weekend!

Beautiful bird for sure. This is one bird, if lucky enough to catch a glipmse of, that makes me stop whatever I’m doing just to gaze at it.

This probably is either Romero or Juliet, our local Eagles that usually nest directly across from Salty’s. They had two babies this year. Their aerie is no longer there, so they must be, hopefully, rebuilding ‘down the block,’ or a couple of trees over from the old aerie. Eagles usually stay in the same ‘hood, I think, if they can.
Has anyone seen any evidence of where they might be rebuilding?
As soon as the leaves fall we’ll get a better view.
I sent your picture on to family and friends. I hope that was okay. It’s beautiful.
