FOUND SNAKE: Arbor Heights – July 31, 2022 12:36 am

Found a snake in Arbor Heights. Constrictor of some sort, really tame, decent sized and is kind of happy (no angry hisses, attempts to bite, or things like that) so it is definitely somebody’s pet. Found literally in the street on 100th and 42nd SW which is surprising that it did not get hit. A couple of cats were keeping a close eye on it which is how friends of mine spotted it (they were going home after dinner at our house). Since it was found near my house, it made sense, at least at first, to keep it here and try to find its owner. I am reading up on care as I type and I’ll cobble together some things to make it comfortable but I don’t regularly keeps snakes at my house so it will be spartan at best. I work with fish and I am definitely not a herpetologist so I don’t know what it is other than a constrictor snake (safe to handle).

Hopefully this is an escapee and not a “release” …
