Just an update from the people who found the dog: we took her to the vet and scanned her for a chip. She’s chipless! Hope someone knows where she belongs!
She looks fairly young and absolutely terrified. Very unusual. Makes me wonder what kind of home she comes from. If no one comes forward quickly, taking her to a no-kill shelter to find the right home for her might be the most compassionate and kindest option for her. I hope her future is far better than her past.
I was thinking the same thing. She chewed through her green leash and is terrified of people… maybe going back home doesn’t sound so good. I turned a stray in to my vet years ago, they located the owner (microchip) and I’ve always regretted it as the dog was clearly very neglected :(
Update on the dog: she spent the night here and was pretty cuddly when she could finally relax. Today we took her to Burien C.A.R.E.S., where she’ll be taken care of and eventually adopted if no one comes to claim her.
