PrayingMan-tis-iMemberDear Barney Fife,
Salutations!
You do not know me, but I know you. In fact, many West Seattleites probably know you not by who you are, but by what you are and what you drive.
You are a sheriff, and as such, you are also supposed to be not only an example citizen, but someone that obeys our laws. I guess you enforce them. Is it fair that I’ve suggested you carry so much on your shoulders. I believe it is. You no longer ride horses, but there’s several of them reving under the hood these days.
Now to the point. There’s a thing called an alarm clock that when used correctly, really helps to organize your life. Typically, these devices are loud and obnoxious, so as to awaken you from your deep slumber. Barney, use it. You’ll find that it will keep you from speeding on the West Seattle bridge, you’ll cut off other drivers less often, not tailgate as much, probably lower your blodd pressure, give you time for a cup of coffee – okay, that’ll happen no matter what -, stop giving other drivers the sensation only a 9 volt battery can mimic, and last, but not least, allow you to be a good citizen and sherriff.
Should you decide to polish off the badge and wear it proudly, you may not have to turn on the sirens on yourself.
If I see you speeding again, I will be forced to report you to my favorite news station so that you can explain to them why you’re always in such a rush!

AnonymousInactiveWish the same for the drivers who fly down 35th day or night, god forbid is someone is walking across the street or an animal decides to cross the street we would all be goners! Being close to School Zone Speed Signs that are bright yellow and flash has done nothing to stop the speeders. Slow Down For Pete’s Sake!
