    Hello!

My uncle owned horses while growing up, so I am comfortable with horses but do not have actual experience with caretaking. If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please email me at Joannrae22@gmail.com

    Thank you!

    Hello!

I hope you are receiving the emails that I have sent to you regarding working at the horse barn in West Seattle.
I live in West Seattle and do not have any family around here and am looking for work with horses. I hope you
will get back to me as I am eager to hear back from you! I have worked with horses for the first 21 years of my
life and then off and on as often as I could. I am used to working outdoors, am physically able to do many types
of work. I have groomed horses, cleaned up after them, medicated them, cleaned feet, wiped eyes, gently unknotted
manes and tails, quieted frightened horses, caught runaways and just kept lonely ones company. I have turned them
out, brought them in, changed them from paddock to pasture, lunged, or just walked them out on leads for grazing…
I am used to changing out water, cleaning buckets, measuring different kinds of feed, moving bales of hay or straw or
moving shavings for stalls. I can help a Farrier work on most any horse for either feet, leg work or floating teeth. I have
worked on lots of tack and can help with saddle soaping or repairs. I like a clean barn and can keep it any way you
wish to have it more or less.

I really want to talk about this with you! I hope you will get hold of me either at my email here (mary.calvert@seattle.gov)
or call me at 206-910-4605. If I miss your call, please leave a message so I will know who to return a call to! I have been looking for a job around horses and this could suit us both! Please let me know
if you get this message. Even if you are not interested in me, please let me know if you have received this message as I
    cannot tell without your reply!

    Thank you for your time!

    Best wishes,

    Mary Calvert
