EmmyJaneParticipantThere is a black and white medium to large size dog wandering in the 46th/Genesse area. Mutt looking. Mostly black, white chest, paws, and the tip of its tail is white. No collar. The dog is very scared and skittish (and hungry!). I lured it close to our house with treats but it would get close, tuck its tail, and run away. Hopefully one of you is looking for a dog. :-(

Ali KParticipantShe’s ours! Not hungry but very skittish and nervous! Thanks for posting! We have no idea how she got out, not her usual behavior! Thank you, thank you!

WSBKeymasterIs she back home? I also got a note about it but the e-mailer wasn’t clear about whether the dog was in someone’s custody or just wandering, so I hadn’t put on the Pets page, won’t do that if it’s yours and she’s home.

Ali KParticipantWe have her! Thank you for your quick report! We have no idea how she got out or what must have spooked her! My husband found her behind one of our neighbour’s gates, we have no idea how she got there either! We’re glad she’s home for the remainder of Christmas day anyway!

mirabileMemberI was glad to read that this story ended happily.
If only your dog could talk, maybe she spotted JanS’ car during her meanderings.

GenHillOneParticipantMaybe she just wanted to go play with EmmyJane :) Good ending!

EmmyJaneParticipantWow, I’m so glad she got home! She was such a sweetie. Btw, she ate lunch and got a good amount of Christmas treats. :-)
GenHillOne- Miss Emmy Jane doesn’t get to play for a WHOLE month. She got a pacemaker put in her poor little doggie heart this week. She’s our Christmas miracle.

Ali KParticipantPoor Emmie Jane! Thank you for feeding her, she certainly has had a Christmas treat! No wonder she wasn’t as keen to eat her food as normal! She really is a sweet dog but can be painfully shy! She’s still a little spooked by her outing but is playing with the toddler and enjoying a tummy scratch!
