Just got word from a friend that there were two poodles, one black and one white, on the loose on 35th near Mt. St. Vincents. A distraught driver had accidentally run over the top of one of the dogs as it ran across the street. My friend stopped to help console the driver and try to help the downed dog, but upon approaching the injured dog, both it and the other dog took off running shoulder-to-shoulder in an eastward direction.

Geesh, so horrible, but good of you to post it Mike. Did you email TR directly already? If not, maybe she will get it up on pets or home page asap.

Hope it turns out well. :(

I posted these to the Pets page a while back and have also told the FB and Twitter communities. Just got ANOTHER note from someone. Guess I’ll put it on the home page too because, like the bridge-running dog a few weeks back, these guys are a danger to others at this point as well as themselves …

    Hey again –

I think I remember that Highpoint has an organized dog group. They were spotted there earlier today. Maybe someone knows who they belong to at HP?

Good point. Wendy Hughes-Jelen is involved with them – I’ll send her a tweet.

I was running with my dog on 25th near the Delridge Community center when I was stopped by a man in a later model Honda to see if I had seen these two dogs. The car was dark and he was hispanic and I am guessing the owner. Hopefully that helps some in tracking him down again. But he was definitely out earlier looking for the dogs. I wish I would have suggested he check/post on this site if he could.
