Tutoring a 5th grader

We’d like to hire someone to tutor our 5th grader on a range of subjects and generally help make sure he’s grasping everything he learns in class. We’re open to suggestions about the best way to approach it, but assume it would involve us ordering some subject workbooks online and having the tutor go through those with him. He’s a well-behaved and smart kid, but tends to rush through his work and benefits from 1:1 comprehension checks.

Hours/schedule are somewhat flexible, we anticipate it being a few hours a week at $20/hour. Could be via webcam, potentially, but we’d also love if we can find someone in the area who doesn’t mind coming over to Highland Park do it in person. We’re a family of 4 and 3 of us are fully vaxxed, the exception being the 5th grader who can’t be yet until they open it to kids under 12.

We figured this would be a nice opportunity for a local high school student who has good grades to pick up some extra cash, but we’re open to hearing from anyone who is interested.
