wakefloodParticipantSo, AGAIN we have one party refusing to move this country forward – on ANY front. How controversial is funding transportation infrastructure already on the books?
If you support these fools in any way shape or form, you are essentially anti-American. If you choose to defend this nonsense, go ahead. You’re only showing your inability to see past your ideology to actually maintain a functioning society, as best I can determine. If you have the guts to defend this stuff, talk to us. I’m really curious to hear someone try to make a logical argument for this. Why does the GOP/Tea Party hate Americans??
Latest intransigence from the elected fools called the GOP:
The U.S. transportation secretary says indecision by Congress about how to pay for programs is again threatening to set back or shut down road and transit projects across the country. That could result in widespread layoffs of construction workers and delay needed repairs and improvements.
Secretary Anthony Foxx kicked off an eight-state bus trip in Ohio this week to whip up public support to keep federal transportation aid flowing to states. Congress will have to act fast. The Highway Trust Fund — source of much of the aid — is forecast to essentially run dry sometime before the end of the federal fiscal year on Sept. 30 — possibly as early as July.
If that happens, the federal government will have to slow down or even halt payments to states.

wakefloodParticipantShould anyone take me up on my challenge, ask yourself the following question. Would the GOP hold up this funding if there was a Republican in the White House?
I’ll save you the energy of puzzling that one out. The answer is it would have passed at twice the value of the current bill and there would be a signing ceremony with dozens of hard-hatted guys high-fiving in the Rose Garden. Puttin’ real ‘Mericans to work! And you know it.
