Anyone know of the cheapest place to get some granite tiles? Also looking for some subway stile tiles but in ceramic.

    Thanks!

I’d check the Habitat for Humanity ReStore (http://www.seattle-habitat.org/the-habitat-store, Nevada and E Marginal). They have a lot of tile, though exact inventory is unpredictable.

The tile shop across from Starbucks HQ on 1st Ave has a nice selection. Can’t say they are dirt cheap, but pricing is competitive, better than big boxes and selection/styles are good.

When I did our kitchen I took a free class at Tile For Less,(accross from Starbuck’s HQ),and was able to save a ton of dough doing it myself. The back splash I did in subway tile the price of which I researched as it was a bit spendy. Their prices were competitive and the availability of expert advice on the phone was invaluable. Also, they have all the necessary tools available. Some are at loan for no charge others for rent. If I were doing another project I’d go nowhere else.

I would let your feet or phone do some research on first or fourth ave in downtown Seattle. There seems to be a lot of stores in that area.

Tile for Less, thats the place. They also loan out their tile saws with a minimum purchase. I believe it was $200, which was the tile cost of our new flooring.
