ScoutParticipantHad a fender bender and my insurance company recommended Thoroughbred Collision Center. Any one ever used them? Are they good? Reasonable? Fair?
Thank you!

cjboffoliParticipantI posted the following just last week:
I recently brought my year-old car in to Thoroughbred to repair a deep scratch on the hood. My insurance adjustor told me they were OK but I could find no other reviews for them anywhere online. Everybody seemed to rave about Alki (in Georgetown). But as Thoroughbred (at 38th and Oregon) was an easy walk from my house I thought I’d give them a try.
They looked at the car the same day I called them even though they were clearly swamped with work. I dropped it off to them first thing on a Monday morning and they called me early Wednesday (just two days later) to say it was done.
I’m a fairly meticulous person so I was prepared to find some imperfections in this less-than- $300 paint repair. But when I arrived and inspected the car it was flawless. They really did an incredible job. The paint matched perfectly and there was no sign of any damage. The paint was smooth as silk. No overspray anywhere on the car. A first rate job!
I cannot speak to their skills at major body work and collision repair. But this experience was absolutely a pleasure and I’d definitely go back there again. Don and his crew do really professional, meticulous work.

B-squaredParticipantI ended up going with Alki Autobody when i needed that kind of work done. Thoroughbred’s bid so high as to be completely out of the running. i was very happy with Alki. if you aren’t paying, maybe this is a non-issue.
