Just visited this great butcher shop/gourmet food store/deli. A great place. Great variety of meats, cheeses and other items. The people are friendly and very helpful. The venison terrine is the best.

Good call on the venison terrine. Even at high end deli counters terrines can sometimes taste gamey, especially if the deli doesn’t sell a lot of it. The fact that Swinery makes their own stuff means that the freshness makes a huge difference in the flavor.

I just heard this week that the Swinery is now taking orders for fresh, local turkeys for Thanksgiving. And they’ll naturally be doing hams for Christmas too. I can’t wait to try them.

They’re FINALLY accepting credit/debit cards too!
