CeeBeeParticipantTest new post. Anyone know how to have more than 15 posts show at a time? My computer is kinda slow and it is driving me nuts to have to keep advancing through multiple pages.

WSBKeymasterCeeBee – 15 posts in the forum, or elsewhere on the site? I think I have it set for more than 15 from the home page but will look for the forum settings. – TR

miwsParticipantThanks, Jan! Rex put out an ask to share it as our FB profile pic for a week, so I did that and decided to take it a step further. :-)

sun*eParticipantHow do you upload your avatar if you have a Mac?… can’t find the where/how to in the edit profile section.

SRParticipantHi. Testing also.

WSBKeymasterHi – right now the system is recognizing avatars uploaded via gravatar.com – not by design but by default – I am hopeful of finding a way to direct-upload here. While the database of posts and replies carried over, the avatars did not (and we’d warned a couple times that they might not), unfortunately. Thank you – Tracy

CeeBeeParticipantHi Tracy, yes, I was only talking about the number of posts on a page in the forums only. Seems to be it used to be about 50, so dropping to 15 makes for slow slogging through multiple pages. But now, today, I’m seeing that the page of “open discussion” now is displaying 25, so either I’m nuts or you’ve already fixed it.
Also, when I am reading a post and want to respond, I now have to go back to the “open discussions” page (or top level of topic) to get to the log in post and then page back down again to find the post that I might want to respond to. Seems to me that you could log on right at the page you were reading, is there a way to return to that?- This reply was modified 8 years, 8 months ago by CeeBee.

PangolinPieParticipantAre people getting follow-up replies via email? I haven’t been, but maybe I forgot to check the button.
Also, reallyyy looking forward to the list of new posts all on one page, like it was before.
Thanks for all you do, Tracy!

WSBKeymasterCeeBee – some things are an easy fix, with simple, non-technical capabilities for site admins. So I changed that.
PP – after I put out another call for feedback on Friday as we near the one-week mark, we then are meeting with our developers (who have been slogging through the bug list in the meantime) at the start of next week, and I will be asking if they can implement what sounds like a simple fix but requires surgically going into a section of the code that I can’t tamper with.
I’ll be saying this often still, but I appreciate everyone’s patience and support. Getting from 2005-2007 infrastructure (which especially here in the Forum was irretrievably broken) to 2016 infrastructure has been bumpy to say the least. I haven’t wanted to write up a full “guide to new features” until we can get past some basic fixes, but the features are many – and down the line, the added possibilities. Currently, I am particularly enjoying the lack of spamvalanches. – TR
