    Smitty..

Have you noticed that the conversation has shifted from whether or not climate change is real to whether or not it is man made?

whether you accept that climate change is man made or not..

it’s kind of difficult to argue that it is not possible to reduce man made contributions to the greenhouse gasses that are accelerating the process.

    Smitty..

and by the way… i am with Jan.

abortion is legal. As long as it is legal, extremists are those who rationalize murdering doctors who perform abortions by labeling abortion murder.

Jan/Job – agree. My bad on not changing the terminology.

“Have you noticed that the conversation has shifted from whether or not climate change is real to whether or not it is man made?”

I don’t think it’s shifted at all. It’s always been about mans influence. The climate is constantly changing and that is the core of the “deniers” argument. Puget Sound was carved from a glacier for goodness sake. Also, we have been this warm (or warmer) twice in the last 2,000 years – which is a blink of an eye for the earth – but that graphs always start in 1880 to help push the agenda. It makes people sceptical.

just throwing this into the middle of the conversation….was it just because he was anti-Cantor?

Hello. Not extremists except to the Pelosi and left leaning extremists in the Democratic Wing of that party.

Interesting that the New Republicans who want the Constitution followed are labeled as extremists by the ones flaunting and disregarding it.

Isn’t it great that the Grass Roots Candidate who spent a bit over $100,000 beat out the establishment candidate who spent about 5 Million dollars.

Now, regarding the term “scientific literacy” which is thrown about in a somewhat, and I’ll be nice, lighthearted manner I must point out that we extremists as you call us too like research to reflect what is actually happening instead of peer agreement by those who have not studied the subject but have an opinion.

those people will not like what this institution has researched regarding the ice melting on the Western Shelf of Antartica. No Virginia, there isn’t a San>> Cl>>> and Anthropogenic Climate Change ain’t happening there either.

The University of Texas Austin Research Paper: http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2014/06/04/1405184111.full.pdf+html?sid=5859c342-ec49-4de6-a82a-9b2c2c826b3e

You mean the Sky Isn’t Falling and there is a perfectly rational reason. OH MY GOD!…

Here is the easier to read Extremist Propagandist version. http://dailycaller.com/2014/06/11/study-west-antarctic-glacier-melt-due-to-volcanoes-not-global-warming/

Clarification. Some types of abortion are legal. Ask Mass Murderer Kermit Gosnell which ones aren’t. Anyone taking life from the men and women who work at those clinics is sick and wrong. I don’t disagree with that. Those people are extremists. But, like the people who are anti NRA and guns, the abortion foes are going to continue to pursue changes in the laws.

Finally JanS. He didn’t give Chuck Todd a good response, but he was also celebrating his victory if my memory serves me correctly (I only heard about in passing). He may have been drinking a bit, maybe not but the timing of the question was not the best. He was smart enough to give a non answer to the media. In the past few days I have heard Hillary Clinton go back and clarify possible misstatements. I seem to remember someone getting elected about six years ago that didn’t have a lot of experience either. Big difference. The press pulled a CYA on that guy, but aren’t usually so friendly to the non DC people.

Oh Yeah, in 1994, the Democratic Speaker of the House, Tom Foley was voted out of office. Cantor’s loss, although surprising, was not the greatest upset in the house. I used to vote against Foley back in Eastern Washington.

one question, Rich…what are the “liberal party” flaunting and disregarding re: the constitution? Details, facts, please. Not opinion, thank you.

And you’re gonna defend this idiot? Seriously? Wow…speechless…”non-answer”? NO answer, because he doesn’t have one. But you go right ahead and walk that tea party line, Rich. Follow your conscience. Or the party line…or whatever.

Wake, do you say aluminum or aluminium? Ground Control to Major Tom.

JanS, since you are attacking him, I guess I am defending him. Not that I live in Virginia. I have relatives back there but I really don’t know them either. As William Buckley once said. I would rather be governed by the first 400 names in the Boston phone book than by the 400 members of the faculty of Harvard University. Give me real people to figure this out. Not the professional politicians we see too much of these days.

I just like playing devils advocate because I must be evil. Bhwah hah hah hah.

That Daily Kos article was so…. wait, let me find the right word…………… umm, stupid.

    Nancy Pelosi.

    http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2014/06/nancy-pelosi-approved-mass-surveillance.html

    and torture.

Those are just a few. There’s more. I can’t wait until Trey Gowdy gets to the bottom of his investigation.

I have agreed with some of the President’s Executive Orders but others not so much. I am appalled that Eric Holder has not yet resigned. Immigration was bad before this President got in. It’s worse now.

But, No administration nor representative is completely innocent. Just watch House of Cards LOL.

I really do not wish to argue but sometimes you guys act like Ricardo Montalban’s character in Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan.

Kirk: Khan, how do I know you’ll keep your word?

Khan: Oh, I’ve given you no word to keep, Admiral. In my judgment, you simply have no alternative.
