Any recommendations for a talented WS tailor?

I have a few suits that need to be altered. In a perfect world, I would also love to have a few custom garments made.

    Thanks!

    nekonoir,

We’ve used Mrs. Kim’s alterations (I don’t think that’s the name of the shop, but she goes by Mrs. Kim) a block north of Cafe Ladro and the dog grooming/sitting place FKA The Tail Wag on California. She’s done a good job on everything we’ve taken (my suits and shirts and some stuff from my wife), and I’ve only had one minor issue with an alteration she did on a shirt. I think she’s just alterations and garment repair.

There’s a place that has been there about 6 months called the Golden Thread and it is across from Corry’s drycleaner on California. In a small building on the left if you are going West down California toward Admiral. She did a great job, very professional and rates were fairly reasonable. She is my new tailor and I used to drive to the U Village!

thanks rcrawley! you are so right about mrs. kim. she is amazing! same day service on a hem that came out of some pants and very inexpensive considering the quality of work! plus, she is a sweetheart. please patronize this establishment! she is one of a kind.

Thanks for the recommendations – I’ll report back.

And yes, I am also tired of driving to U Village!

Is Mrs. Kim the proprietress of Fits All Alterations? That’s where we take all our stuff. I recommend it highly–very nice work at reasonable prices.
