Does anyone have any pro’s or con’s for either of these companies? I’m looking at the U-Haul on 35th & Morgan and the Stor More on Yancy. Stor More is considerably higher in price than U-Haul but am unsure about the quality/safety. I’m told Public Storage has had a lot of crime and theft issues. Thanks.

    Dawn,

Don’t know anything about Stor More except that they are WSB sponsor. However I do know from bitter experience(Cruiser doesn’t normally do bitter!) is that I will NEVER go to UHaul on 35th/Morgan…..it has got to be the worst managed, slowest, rudest retail outlet I know of. We had a unit there last year..will NEVER go back!

Google reviews of it for yourself.

ahhh, I feel better now thanks. I meant to write a rant on these guys ages ago:)

I would say that Stor mor is better. They have a secure site and I like that they are a WSB sponsor. Tatiana(?) has posted pictures on the blog and gave first hand reports about the snow and her area.

Talani and Brian run Stor-More as resident managers – so there’s somebody on site at all times. We were mailbox customers there long before the sponsorship happened. I can’t vouch for storage but I can vouch for them — good peeps, you should stop by and say hi and talk to them (and do the same with anyplace else you’re considering) to see if it’s right for you …

We’ve had a good experience with Stor-More. Heard negative things about U-Haul (rodents) but have no direct knowledge. We also had good luck with Stor-More south of White Center.

Whilst I didn’t see any rodents, there was a large feeder trap thingy in my unit.

I viewed one of the units at Uhaul a few days a go and saw that trap thing – I wondered what that was! Good info – thanks everyone.

I have used Stor-Mor on a couple of occasions, for two years at a stretch, and never had any problems.
