@anonyme – that’s sad you think someone calling themselves happy and friendly is bizarrely narcissistic. I hope you’re able to give yourself self love and positive self talk. I try to embrace it as much as I can, sometimes negativity can creep in, but if I see the good in life and engage in self love and positive self talk it helps. I’d be happy to have a discussion over coffee with any of my naysayers! I think a lot gets lost in online discussion, and for some reason my posts are read in anger or rage (which they’re not written in at all!)

@WSeaKell, it’s hard to say what Buddy actually meant, but if your interpretation is indeed correct, it was very poorly presented. Nor do I think that comparing folks who want to protect their kids to the KKK is an apropos response. Mask mandates for kids are being lifted in a very few areas due to political pressure, in others due to medically-based responses to the changing nature of this pandemic. The latter is expected and reasonable, though not necessarily permanent. There is no closure date for Covid. One thing is for sure, your foot-stomping and vile and histrionic characterizations of those who would rather take a better safe than sorry approach with their children neither helps nor convinces anyone – except maybe those who have KKK quotes already at their fingertips.

Well i have an apointment to get vaxed on the 21st. Not because im scared of covid tho really but it will b nice to go to the bar again. I am surprised tho at how badly a lot of antivaxers are misinformed. I had one of my freinds telling me to reconsider because i am about to “receive a death shot” he said. Lol. But as for masking i would like to point out i rode the bus today several times and on every ride there was at least 1 usually several who just didnt wear a mask at all. And they are provided for us at the front of the bus! And it used to be if sombody tryd this the driver would play an prerecorded msg saying masks wer required but nothing this time. I know this has nothing to do with the school but i feel its related enough

Cheese, are you related to former legendary WSB comedic troll Del Griffith? It took me a while to figure it out, but now I think I see the connection. If so, thanks for the laughs. If not – thanks for the laughs!

@anonyme – I’d encourage you to look in the mirror when you characterize me as “foot stomping” and spewing vile histrionic characterizations. Here are some of the more vile things you’ve said to and questioned me about:
    – “my concern for your kids … (is) the mental health of their mother”
    – “what ‘violent threats’ are you talking about?” – the one in my first post regarding this subject that Cindylou commented that she thinks I’m a moron, my kids will run away from me when they’re 12, and if she saw me at Lincoln Park she’d “slap (me) and call CPS”
    – “the more you scream and name call, the more the definition (of insanity) seems to fit”
    – sarcastically commenting on someone that agreed with ending mandates “congrats on your new buddy, Buddy” and incorrectly connecting him (and me in a way) to the KKK
    – indicating I’m into conspiracy theories (how is wanting to end the mask mandate when the omicron wave is toward its end a conspiracy theory? I’m seriously asking.)
    – you keep saying I’m not posting studies – if you read the articles I post, there are many links to studies within those articles
    – saying that describing myself as happy and friendly is bizarrely narcissistic – if you live in a world where you judge people who call themselves friendly and happy, that’s very sad

It seems you cannot comprehend changing your views as the wave comes to an end and the end to masking is inevitably in sight. Oregon, California, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania have all announced an end to their mandates, including school mandates. I’m sure Washington will follow suit soon. Will I be such a crazy, vile, insane, conspiracy theory loving idiot when that happens?

The main study the CDC used for recommending masks in schools has proven to be horribly flawed. Also, why aren’t we listening to the World Health Organization who does not recommend masking children under 6? I don’t expect you to think this is a valid article, but I do and others might be interested: https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2021/12/mask-guidelines-cdc-walensky/621035/

Look in the mirror, think of how you respond. Some of my responses have not been perfect either, I admit that. But the gloves tend to come off when people attack my character, mental health, and family all because I want to start a productive conversation about questioning mask mandates on an open forum in my community.

Are you up for that coffee? I sure am!

“Thought it be obvious.” Yes, just as revealing as that sentence. So, to understand you correctly, parents concerned about the well-being of their children and following medical guidelines are to be characterized as racist, authoritarian, KKK-loving bigots? And you (and @WSeaKell) call that reasonable discourse?

“It seems you cannot comprehend changing your views as the wave comes to an end and the end to masking is inevitably in sight”. LOL, that was sooo predictable. No one who has commented here ever suggested that we should mask forever. Everyone – except you and a couple of your cohorts – realized that the necessity for masking would probably end within the near future, but that would depend upon factual, medical information and the path that Covid would take. Your rants began almost FOUR MONTHS AGO. Of course, things have changed, just as most sensible people knew they would. Yet you, and Buddy, still choose to characterize others as rigid zealots when in fact, that description fits you better than anyone.

As an analogy it’s as if, back in October, you’d initiated a rant demanding warm weather. Most others would have pointed out that the weather would change eventually, but you weren’t having it. Oh no. You insisted that the weather must change immediately, and vociferously attacked anyone who adopted a wait-and-see attitude. Then spring came, and you were TRIUMPHANT!! The weather had changed at your command! You were right all along, and everyone else was a rigid, ignorant sheep for trying to delay the warmth!!

As for your list of grievances, you include “congrats on your new buddy, Buddy” and incorrectly connecting him (and me in a way) to the KKK”. How interesting you cite this as a “vile” insult to you. You were perfectly fine, even congratulatory, with having this accusation initially leveled at your detractors. Was it not “vile” then? Hypocrisy, much? There is nothing in your list that I regret saying, nor do I think any of my comments were anything but accurate – including the suggestion of narcissism – one of the characteristics of which is a tendency to accuse others of that which you, yourself, are guilty of.

This will be my last post. It’s been entertaining, but not to any extent that would make it valuable or worth continuing. As for having coffee with your happy, friendly a$$ – now that’s funny! You should ask Buddy; he probably has some hilarious Stalin jokes.

I think i have one last thing i would like to point out, as i dont really mind that some write my questions and opinions off As sarcastic comedy or trolling. Anyways what i am bringing up is that i am pretty sure that if wearing a mask to school is the biggest hardship that these kids are facing each day that they attend, then i am pretty sure that they are som lucky kids compared to hardships that maybe kids in other countrys endure or even kids in the history of this country. Also i cant remember, is it the kids of the original poster who are also complaining or is the poster just complaining for them? Im am just curious as this question just occured to me

@anonyme – I’m so glad this is your last insult-hurtling post. From your previous blog posts, I see that we are neighbors. I live less than a mile from you, go to Westwood QFC. I’m sure our paths cross often. Funny you’re not open to coffee with a neighbor to discuss this topic you’re so charged up about face to face, instead of hiding behind your computer.
I don’t believe you have children, or at least school age children, so don’t expect you to ever understand.
I wish you the best, and hope you can calm down enough to enjoy your Friday and weekend.
