I really like the relish-with-booze that they serve at Skylark. I should try it with tequila (bloody maria).

I need to try JAkS brunch sometime. Islandlvr’s description on the CFS thread has convinced me to combat the crowds.

So, everybody’s got one. A favorite bloody mary, that is. Should come with an edible breakfast. GO!

I need to try Smarty Pants’ bloody mary again. People kept talking it up and when I finally ordered one it was served in a pastic cup and tasted like it was 80% water.

Ama Ama used to have an awesome one, but as is so often the case good things never last. Surprisingly, the Rocksport makes a damn good one. Haven’t had one yet, but I’d imagine the Feedback Lounge might make a good one as well (based on the excellence of their other cocktails).

Corner Pocket makes a great Bloody Mary with Absolut Pepper vodka and lots of horseradish. Bogie at the Maha also makes an excellent Mary.

That being said, my all time fave is down in Lincoln City, OR. (Ki West @ the Surftides) they serve pickled garlic as a garnish. YUM.

Duke’s makes a great one. “Housemade infused vodka

    with Demitri’s All–Natural

    Bloody Mary Seasoning

    garnished with two

jumbo prawns” I also love their cucumber vodka mojito…so refreshing. I use the Demitri’s seasoning when I make them at home. They are a Seattle based company, and you can usually buy the little bottle of mix at Thriftway http://www.demitris.com/

I was just going to recommend that you make your own with Demitri’s! Excellent stuff.

I just got Demitris last night, my sister gave me a bottle… It’s delicious! I put some in my v8 this morning.

Thanks add, my home bar is well stocked and I am capable of making a damned good one for myself. I am in the restaurant industry though, and sometimes on my weekend I like OTHERS to serve me.

Thanks for the tip on Demetri’s Holly, I’ll give it a try.

I think the best bloody marys are made at home with ingredients from the farmers market (including the pickled asparagus)or my backyard. I like to throw a yellow bell pepper in mine as it adds a crisp sweetness to it.

My husband likes his bloodies with gin and I prefer vodka, so we usually have to make more than 1 batch that results in a rather large sidecar =)

A friend of mine once had a bloody mary party, setting up a table like a buffet with just about everything you could think of putting into mary. Mmmm, bloody mary oyster shooters, slurp!
