My teen stepson is interested in experiencing flight in a small plane — meaning a 2- or 4-seater plane. When searching on Google, all I can find are the commercial scenic flights in larger planes. Anyone have an idea of how I would find a small plane pilot who provides private tours? Thanks in advance!

The Museum of flight usually has biplane rides from their parking lot. http://www.oldethymeaviation.com/index.html

I’ve taken out of town visitors on Seattle Seaplane flights (which fly out of the southeastern corner of Lake Union) and are a lot of fun. Not sure if they’re still flying their vintage Stinson. But their main aircraft are single-engine Cessna 172 and Cessna 206.

Galvin Flight Services and Wings Aloft offer reasonable 30-60 minute introduction flights. At least last time I checked.
