Seattle School Board Candidate Forum

On Tuesday, October 18, the candidates for the Seattle City School Board will attend a community forum at Madison Middle School. Join at 6:30 for a meet and greet with the candidates. At 7:00p.m., the forum will begin with a short presentation on the Seattle Families & Education Levy. Next, the forum begins with each candidate’s response to the following question:

“Given the sacrifice of time, energy, and money, what compels you to run for the school board?”

Then, candidates will answer written questions from the audience moderated by Naheed Nizam, Seattle Council PTA Area Director for West Seattle.

The forum is being hosted by Alki Elementary PTA and Madison Middle School PTSA.

Also sponsoring the forum are Arbor Heights Elementary PTA, Concord Elementary PTA, Gatewood Elementary PTA, Schmitz Park Elementary PTA and Denny Middle School PTSA.

[R the lights on in your School]

I hope at the Forum It gets talked about how the District wastes electricity/energy, by leaving LIGHTS ON 24/7 in schools. Don’t believe in this day and time that a District would do this. Come on, motion sensors, in class rooms, gyms, locker rooms, hallways, etc, THIS IS A NO BRAINER.
