We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ophthalmic ASC Scrub Technician / Circulator to join our surgical team. This role is responsible for assisting ophthalmic surgeons before, during, and after procedures while maintaining a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment.Key Responsibilities-
Scrub Tech Duties:
· Prepare the operating room with appropriate sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for ophthalmic procedures
· Scrub in and assist surgeons during ophthalmic surgeries (including cataract and other eye procedures)
· Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently and accurately
· Maintain sterile field and adhere to all infection control and ASC policies
· Perform surgical counts and assist with room turnoverCirculator Duties:
· Prepare patients for surgery, verify consent, and ensure correct site/procedure
· Manage room flow and documentation during procedures
· Coordinate with anesthesia, surgeons, and ASC staff to ensure smooth case progression
· Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
· Assist with post-operative room breakdown and readiness for next caseQualifications:
· Previous experience in an ophthalmic ambulatory surgery center strongly preferred
· Experience as a scrub tech and/or circulator in ophthalmology
· Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and ophthalmic procedures
· Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
· Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical environment
· Reliable, professional, and patient-focused demeanorSchedule & Work Environment:
· Part- Time
· Daytime hours only Tuesdays-Thursday on scheduled surgery week
