MargLMemberAll City Animal Control out of business? Weird, Jeff Savoie was just posting here a few weeks ago.
Is this the number you tried – (206) 914-9196 ?
We have a contract with Orkin and they do it all, ants, spiders, and rat traps.

carrieannMemberWe also have a contract with Orkin (and have for about a year now) after experiencing a particularly bad Summer of ants. The same guy shows up every two months and asks about any specific issues we’ve had since his last visit, does a walk around the perimeter of the house and checks/”sweeps” for spiders, rats and ants, replacing any traps and checking for signs of pests. I believe you can pay extra to have them look for other types of pests, if they’re a concern, but those were the ones we’d mentioned wanting to be sure weren’t around.

LuckieParticipantThe minute we have a problem, we call John at Adept Pest Solutions. He doesn’t use poison. He sets traps, and then comes and checks them for you over the following days. He also does exclusion–he goes around the outside of the house on a ladder, figures out how the rats are getting in, and blocks up any entrances. He’s dependable, polite, and he really knows what he’s doing. Our old house had rat problems off and on for years, and he solved them! His e-mail is john@adeptpest.com, phone is 206-407-3268 or 888-441-9607.

furryfacesParticipantDon’t have a great suggestion for getting the rats out of the attic, however for long term control, please consider adopting 2 – 4 backyard feral, cats. All they need is a shelter and to be fed once or twice a day with access to fresh water 24/7. They will come to ‘work’ every day and keep the rats out of your yard/surrounding area, which will keep the rats out of you house.
I know of a colony that needs to be moved and would be happy to help you adopt a couple of them and with the setup –we call it imprinting. Feel free to contact me at furryfaces@hotmail.com or 206-932-1652. Cheers F3

maplesyrupParticipantWe had a pretty good experience with Eden Pest Control. They not only got rid of the rats, they sealed up all of the potential entry points and showed us how to discourage them from returning.
That was 5 years ago and we haven’t had anything since.
