vincentMemberI am interested in this opportunity to be directly marketed to, does this seminar come with a gift certificate to sizzler as well?

JanSParticipantVincent…Ventana is a local WS business, and a sponsor of WSB…..not some fly-by-night company trying to sell you something.

JoBParticipantvincent..
there is no free lunch. of course they will hope you find them so knowledgeable that you think of them when and if you do work…
and in the meantime, you get to learn more about the process so it isn’t so easy for some smooth talking con man to talk you into spending more in the long run by cutting essential corners in the bid.
with a local reputation at risk, they are far more likely to give you good info than not… and an informed customer always gets a better deal in the end.

vincentMembersure, but its still amusing that its offered here as a “freebie” its more like those home depot workshops. and its essentially come learn all the interesting ways you can give us your money.

JoBParticipantthat’s what most freebies are…
but.. if you were planning to do something anyway.. you can end up saving a ton of money by doing it right the first time.
i have always meant to make it to one of those home depot classes.. but i am generally too busy trying to dig myself out of the mess i made doing it myself to make time for a class ;~)

PDieterParticipantCan you post a syllabus type outline of the workshop? That might assist people in seeing more of the value of what you are offering. Some folks know so little they don’t even know the possible subjects and some folks think they know all they need but are actually missing some helpful details.

VentanaConstructionParticipantAbsolutely! We’re going to cover selecting and hiring your project team (i.e. architect, designer, contractor, engineer, lender), timeline for design, construction schedule, average costs, contracts, financing and “green” building.
We will also answer questions and have several handouts that should be helpful to those who move forward with a project.
Anyone who would like some additional information, please feel free to give us a call at 206-932-3009.

WSBKeymasterFWIW, when Ventana sent us word of this event, in addition to posting it in the event calendar, as we do with many business events sent to us by nonsponsors as well as sponsors, we suggested they post it here. This forum category, experimental as noted when we launched it, is open to businesses offering bonafide freebies/deals, and we appreciate those (like another one who will likely be posting soon re: a new type of software) who have taken the time to e-mail us first to ask if it’s OK – because other types of general ads ARE offlimits in the forum (and I have nuked a couple in recent days).
thanks
