HomerParticipantI’m sure it’s been mentioned but does anyone know what’s going in just south of the Redline bar on 35th? They just received a huge shipment of lumber and theirs no hint of what’s being created? Thanks!

clark5080Participantlooks like more storage for Alki Lumber to me
April 21, 2009 at 3:58 am #664786
rockergirlMemberI believe it is lumber and materials for the project across the street being built. Been storing stuff there for quite awhile.

WSBKeymasterThe former West Fuel site is owned by the Hulings and there is no development currently proposed for it, per city records.

HomerParticipantThanks guys! Hard to beleive with all that lumber there but makes sense, I guess I never saw the “design review sign” up…oh well, guess it won’t be Trader Joe’s…. ;-)

inactiveMemberDrat –
I thought this might have been news that Redline was doing some remodeling on their bathrooms. I went in there for the first time a few weeks ago: now I get the “dive mystique”. There will be no shootin’ free pool for me there till they get a handle on that. I think I’ll be waiting a loooong time though…so where is another nearby clean (relatively) place to shoot pool?

pigeonmomParticipantDood, Corner Pocket near Easy Street.
April 21, 2009 at 5:53 pm #664793

trensuelaMemberThe Redline seems to be taking divey to a new level. Perhaps they are going for some sort of condemnable motif? Or maybe their target customers are those who enjoy walking in urine, even outside of the restrooms?
April 21, 2009 at 6:08 pm #664795
AnonymousInactiveI looke at the rule and it say we have to make a contact with the management before we make a rant. does anyone talk to the management of red lines to ask them what they are thinking?
April 21, 2009 at 6:13 pm #664796
JanSParticipantI’ve never been to Redline, and they could have the most fantastic music in West Seattle, and great food, but I would still hesitate to go just because of the cleanliness factor. There are many good cleaning services in the West Seattle area. They need to avail themselves of one, and soon. Also, a can of paint to paint over the graffiti on the outside of the building. I
thought that businesses are required to do just that. To say it’s detracting is an understatement…it’s, for lack of a better word, “ghetto”, “abandoned building” looking. Is the owner struggling for business? I have no idea – I just know that I stay away for those reasons, and I’m betting quite a few others do, too.
So..Redline, if you’re lurking..clean up your act !!!! :)

JiggersMemberLOL…(divey to new level?..lol) Talaricos had the worst bathrooms, but they just recently remodeled them. But I give the Redline a hands down!! for the worst bathrooms in WS period!! It’s like walking in urine. It’s cleaner to piss outside in a bush than inside and risk those shoes u wear into the Redline…lol
April 21, 2009 at 9:16 pm #664798
HomerParticipantAnyone want to tell a positive experience at Redline? Hmmmmm….kinda feel like I should wash my hands just walking by it! Dunno though, maybe they have great beer, ya know, that imported stuff with crazy names and appletini’s……….hmmmmmm ;-)
April 21, 2009 at 9:25 pm #664799
JiggersMemberThe only thing I like about Redline is Johnny Smokes who’s one hell of a great guitar player/singer. He’s very inclusive with his audience. It’s not often that you can find talent like that playing consistantly in a public venue. The guy is pretty much down to earth and personable once u get to know him. Its also too bad he’s only their on Sunday’s. He plays a lot of heavy covers, but his originals are pretty darn good too.

trensuelaMemberI have never noticed any cougars at the Redline. I have however seen some “professionaly” dressed women from time to time there.
April 21, 2009 at 9:51 pm #664802
AnonymousInactiveI had to register as soon as I saw this last one about cougars. I have been trying to find a place where cougars hang out and if this is it then I am going there. Are there any other single guys 40-50 out there that can confirm the availability and quality of the cougars at this place. I will buy you a beer there tonight if it is everything we hope for.

2Hot2HandleParticipantporkchopsandwiches, let me know if find any places. I am into real women, not these girls. I like the tough ones myself. And trensuela, I am not into these “professionally” dressed too. This hombre has no need for pay for play.

For an adventure with the non-scholastic Cougars along with bathrooms that make the Redline look like a 4 star resort try out the Yen Wor….
April 21, 2009 at 10:19 pm #664807
AnonymousInactiveNot from here. Where is this yen wor and are you serious about this stuff because I am.
