I hadn’t really used it until about a week ago and now check it every day. I don’t have the patience to tackle Craigslist and this sorted version makes it so easy! The recent living green thread got me registered on freecycle too, but I’m not sold on that one yet (it would have to be something pretty spectacular to make me want to go pick up an opened package of ANYTHING); seems like more junk than useful items so far. Thanks for the ability to at least check out the options though WSB!
Actually you’re reading my mind. A couple things in the past week had me thinking about posting the question to you all about whether you think a “West Seattle Freebies” section would be appropriate. I’ve been letting freebies stand rather than deleting them as “ads” and we aren’t ready yet to get into the classifieds business BUT a “freebie” category would seem to have potential like the “Jobs Offered” category. Thoughts?
GenHillOne – You’d be amazed at the things you can find on Freecycle. I personally don’t have the patience for it, but you should ask my mom (JanS) about all the things that she has gotten for free!
People have been getting great stuff from us lately on Freecycle — and west seattle has always been a hot bed of activity. I’ve never hit send quickly enough to actually score something *from* freecycle…but my main goal is DEcluttering. :-)
