Two raves in a row — there goes my reputation as a curmudeon!
But the resume thread reminded me to recommend a West Seattle woman, Sherri Edwards, who has been conducting courses on finding a job, updating and targeting resumes, building networks, and generally succeeding in the mysterious world of work for at least 10 years. She also works one-on-one and provides invaluable assistance and coaching.
I was unemployed three years ago — I found Sherri through webgrrrls, went through her workshops (learned things I had never known or had forgotten). After I started working again, I stayed connected — you can be involved at many levels — whatever works for you.
She will tell you things you don’t want to hear about the reality of the job market AND, simultaneously, encourage you to find and follow your dreams and passions.
I’ll stop–Sherri can explain herself much better than I can: http://www.resourcemaximizer.com.
