TRussellMemberI’ve had maybe 6 professional massages in my entire life. That is before Lavida Massage opened. The introductory rate of $39 for the first massage got me to come in, but the service and quality of therapist got me to become a member. I’ve become a massage snob now and can hardly go 2 weeks without getting one. They are great and I am extremely happy they are open in West Seattle.

JeanineParticipantDo you work there?
March 26, 2012 at 11:14 pm #752847
TRussellMemberNo, I’m a bartender… I live very close and since it’s opened up, I’ve been there a lot. I wouldn’t say that I’m somebody that NEEDS massages but I look forward to them and go all the time now.

Lavida MassageMemberThanks TRussell for the positive response. We appreciate your business. Please let us know if we can improve your experience in anyway.

BrendaBrinkerhoffMemberMy husband started going there for back messages and he loves it. He said the woman that gave him the message was very professional and he felt great afterwards. The salon was very clean and appealing. They had nice relaxing music playing that was not to loud. The front desk assistant was so nice. We will defiantly be returning!

sacatoshParticipantI find it interesting that every rave for this place across three different threads has been posted by someone who joined the same day and has never posted before or since. They all seems to have the same writing style and grammar errors, too.
I may be wrong, but it sure looks like someone’s using the “rave” section for free advertising.

pattileaParticipantSacatosh that is so funny I was thinking the same thing yesterday!

sacatoshParticipantIf that is indeed what’s happening, I find it deceptive, and it makes me want to never use them.

pshihoParticipantAs the owner of LaVida Massage, I am sorry that sacatosh is suspicious of some of our clients comments. After being open for just over 8 months, we now have almost 1000 happy West Seattle clients who enjoy and benefit from our services so much that they have become regular members and receive continued discounts for their massages. Our wonderful staff of massage therapists treat, on the average, over 45 clients a day, 7 days a week. We regularly see 350 new clients a month with more than half of them coming to us from referrals from existing clients. Yes, we do ask our clients to say something nice about us, to their friends, their families and on the many web sites that post reviews and comments, including the WSB. To suggest that our reviews are fictitious is simply not fair to our ever growing client base who have come to depend upon us for their massage needs. I would hope that sacatosh would come to LaVida and experience us for herself so that she can review us for our services and not simply review our reviews.

DBurnsParticipantI have written on the forums about what a great experience I have, consistently, at LaVida. In fact, one day I had a visit from the owner at my own business. He came by specifically to thank me for my written comments and patronize my business. He seemed like a great guy who co-owns a great business with his daughter. When I went for my next massage I was told he had given me an extra 30 minutes for being a great customer. Class act.
I have a hard time believing that any business owner has time to conjure up fake email addresses/WSB logins and sit around and write positive reviews for himself. I find it even harder to believe that a business owner would continue to bump a thread that included the phrase “not so good”.
It kind of bugs me that there is an underlying judgement and idea of credibility about posts depending on how often you put something on here. I think it prevents people from actually joining the conversations which is really unfortunate because that’s what creates diverse thoughts and new ideas.
What about this scenario – I am in LaVida every 10 days or so and I mention to them what I read on here. There are other people who are as big of fans as I am who agree that it seems unkind to write negative feedback about a new business and ask what they can do. I tell them they should log on and say something great. Does that sound like it could happen? Cuz it actually did. Everyone shouldn’t have to be a “regular” to be believed.

SemeleParticipantI definitely did not just join even though I am not a regular poster. I have commented before on what a great experience I have had at La Vida. Please don’t be suspicious of everyone who posts. Sometimes you are just so surprised that the service you get from what is a chain type place you want to share.

Gina AllenParticipantA RAVE for LaVida! LaVida is so involved in the community! They sent 2 wonderful massage therapists to Lafayette Elementary for a full day to pamper the hardworking staff and teachers for Appreciation Week! It was truly a highlight for the folks at Lafayette. This is the second year that they have made such an awesome commitment. LaVida helped celebrate Healthy Kids Day at the West Seattle YMCA in April too! They are so involved in the community that a parent can’t help but want to go in for a little self pampering after wrapping up another big year of volunteering for the PTA!

nyhopiMemberI would like to send out a RAVE for Mr. Silver (did not want to use your first name just in case) I had an issue with my membership as my credit card numbers had been stolen and I was not able to get in as often as I would have liked. Mr. Silver, the owner of LaVida, made it crystal clear to me the kind of business owner he was and the amount of pride and integrity he has…I have the greatest faith in him!
***I am also in L O V E with Giannonis pie!!
