AnneParticipantIf you & your family like great Pizza & Pasta in a family friendly atmosphere-try ABONDANZA! It’s on California right across from WS Thriftway. The owners are gracious-the wait staff super friendly & the food is awesome–delish homemade pasta!!
It’s a little gem right here in West Seattle!!

4th of EightParticipantThankyou for starting this, totally agree! Mike and his crew are SOOOO Sweet, have bent over backwards a number of times, even close to closing time. I would go in even if it looked like it did before the remodel, as is the re-do is beautiful. Great red wines, even the house wine, I always order the carbonara pasta dish.. my favorite. People bring their kids, but it never seems like one of those places that little ones get on your nerves, so good atmosphere for families or dates or table for one. Again, Mike is so cool and accommodating. I would be in more often if closer to my side of West Seattle.

wakefloodParticipantAnd if you’re in the mood for something super yummy and NOT on a low-calorie diet, you gotta try pork cutlet in mushroom sauce. Can’t remember the Italian menu name but you’ll know it when you see it.

B-squaredParticipantLove their puttanesca!!! Way less salty than Angelina’s. I always order it thinking i will bring half home for another meal later, then end up eating it all!

llyndaParticipantI am glad that you have had good experiences at Abondanza. I wish I could say the same! We do like their food, and had planned a special night out there. We went in about 6:30 pm on June 1; there were 2 tables with people. We were supposed to seat ourselves, which we did–right by the window (and next to one of the other full tables). The lady behind the bar saw us; the waiter came at least twice to our neighbor’s table. They all looked at us… but never said a word, never came to our table, just ignored us. We really wanted some pasta, so we waited… I couldn’t believe that they just kept ignoring us. So we left, and won’t be going back. Good news: there’s a GREAT pasta dish at A Terrible Beauty in the Junction.
