TuckerLucyMemberI took my shoes in for new heals on Oct 23, picked them up on the 27th and on Nov 25th one fell off and both were worn out. Returning to the shop, I was told in an angry tone that it was not his fault, he does not guarantee his materials, I should not wear my shoes every day, and if I pay another $20 he will put another set of new heals on. I will NEVER go there again! (This is not the first time I have been unhappy with his attitude and workmanship)

IrukandjiParticipantAdmiral Shoe repair. I’ve had him show me the options for full sole, and heel, partials, and even in ESL he explains his work very well. Never been disappointed.

FlyonthewallMemberI HIGHLY recommend the shoe repair place next to Diva Coffee on Fauntleroy – he did the most amazing job on a $200 pair of shoes that needed new soles and heels. The BEST repair I have ever had to shoes and he was VERY reasonably priced!! Not to mention a very sweet man!

sacatoshParticipantAnother vote for Admiral Shoe Repair. The husband got a pair of VERY expensive leather boots, and he’s a hard-to-fit size with very small feet and ankles, and large muscular calves. We took the boots in to Admiral, and he gave us multiple options and then recommended what he thought was the best one, which was inserting two triangular pieces of leather alongside the strip up the back. He told us not to expect perfection, as it would be a big job.
We picked up the boots a week later, and they were GORGEOUS. He matched the leather perfectly, and they fit like gloves. The husband wears them almost every day and says they’re the most comfortable shoes he owns. WELL worth the $70 he charged us!!! We also tipped him an extra $20, as they were positively perfect. Looked like they were made that way.
