KarenParticipantFor those of us who HAVE read the Rant rules, thank you very much, I did not name the business. I was ranting about the customer who put everyone in a bad position and cost one of the employees the money she would have made on an appointment. I did attempt to reschedule but was unable. That is why I am taking my business elsewhere, privately, and not naming the business. I don’t see how I can give the rude customer an opportunity of making amends.

KarenParticipantI think still think you should restore my post.

JustSarahParticipantYes, I thought that was odd that the topic was closed. You did not specify the business or give any identifying details. For all I know, it wasn’t even in West Seattle; it could have just been a general vent of frustration from a West Seattleite. I would have been irritated, too.

MargLMemberI also thought it was weird – since the business wasn’t named either. It’s kind of like ranting about folks bringing kids to a restaurant and letting them run around. If it’s a generalized rant it usually stays on the board.

sam-cParticipantI thought it was weird too, it would be like closing all the rant threads about arrogant dog owners. the forum would be eerily silent.

MBParticipantI don’t get it either…kinda defeats the whole purpose of having a rant section. I think it only really becomes an issue if someone has a problem with your post and actually reports you. A while back I asked ahead of time what the rules were as far as posting a license plate number in a rant. They told me no because the rule is no personally identifying info (which I understand), but then I read one of the longest threads ever about the recurring sidewalk parking job of some vehicle in Admiral…it gave the license plate number as well as a description of the vehicle and where it was located and the thread went on and on and on for days…so much so that someone eventually said they sent a copy of the thread to the home owner to bring the problem to their attention. Apparently no one seemed to have a problem with that, but your legitimate rant with no identifying info is flagged and closed…I’m totally confused.

luckymom30ParticipantWhere I go for spa treatments children are not allowed, period. Having children there really defeats the purpose, it is suppose to be relaxing. I agree that it was strange the post was deleted.

TrishaMemberI agree as well that it is odd that it got pulled – it definitely didn’t seem to violate any rules. Granted, the WSB can run this site as they see fit, but given that they are a news organization, I think a little transparency into this decision would be nice! :)
