Okay glocson…your thread is getting old. I’m moving on. Don’t forget to share the road and paths. It’s the law! ;)

I want to jump in here and comment on something (relating to bikes) that I’ve noticed recently.

I can see this thread has already taken all kinds of turns, so I don’t think it could be considered thread-jacking.

I’m alarmed at families that ride their bikes all together on major streets throughout WS. I’ll normally see the parents at the head of the line and the children riding behind the parents. But, I have seen really little children (maybe 5 or 6), riding in the street, out of their parents sight (the parents are ahead and can’t see them).

I’m surprised to see this, especially in light of the turn this thread (and others) have taken.

vincent, I think you missed NewRes’s point..the parents are out of eyesight , not watching after their very young children, which is not good in any situation, but especially not good while riding a bike on a public street. They are 5-6-7 years old, not quite experienced enough to be left to their own devices while riding around cars, etc..I’m glad families are biking together..it’s great for them..but there does come a bit of responsibility where children are concerned.
