RANT – leaf blowers at State bldg on 25th SW

Seems like several times a month they’re breaking noise ordinance by powering up at 6 or 7AM, but what I’m really pissed about is the fact that they’re doing it at the hottest time of one of the hottest days on record, when all my windows must be open for any semblance of relief.

Since our home backs up to the State building and adjacent parking lot, all the crap they’re kicking up and blowing into my back yard comes right in through the windows.

There’s plenty of uninhabited greenbelt to aim your parking lot waste at – why must you blow it into my home?

guess I should throw this in there..it’s 7:01am Friday morning, and they are using leafblowers at the Admiral Safeway which is across the street from my apartment…so I feel your pain :)

Well mercy me, the symphony started up again this morning at 5:30AM, complete with a pressure washer soloist.

Have filed a complaint with the city’s Noise Abatement program, and I’m informed that they’re on the case. :)
