Just a reminder that birds need water this time of year. I just thawed out the birdbath with a kettle of hot water. It is a big hit with my feathered friends. first taker was a nuthatch:)
Thanks for the reminder. We remembered that a couple days ago just because it was something that people had brought up here during last year’s megacold spell. A pedestaled plastic planter in the front yard had turned into solid ice; we turned it over to get the ice out and it was reminiscent of an olden-days Jello-mold creation:
