kootchmanMemberI am no hypocrite… if Obama was going to raise a billion… we have to find our billions too. I am fine with the shootout… ya wanna play big money politics… I don’t go to a gunfight with knife. I am all for this little economic warfare. Let er’ rip. Just don’t forget who started the duel. Your man did. The DNC thought we would run scared? ha ha ha… not on Karl Roves watch.

dobroParticipant“You know Dibro … it hurts.. but you can say it too…. you got fooled too”
The difference is I don’t think I was fooled.I never expected a Messiah. I guess you did.I’m going to vote for him again and hope we get a more Democratic congress to boot.
September 2, 2012 at 6:31 am #769188
kootchmanMemberwell ya got almost nothing you were promised. I guess if that is your standard fo acccountabillty …. who am I to question? Low bar though..
September 2, 2012 at 7:07 am #769189
dobroParticipantObviously, I disagree with your assessment of both my standards and the performance of the President. I guess we’ll find out in November who’s right.

redblackParticipantHEY.. where is redblack… he has some foreign debts to pay..
been relaxing with family after a week of drudgery. it’s what labor day is all about.
but i don’t have any foreign debt. sorry. all of that red ink was used to pay for wars and tax cuts. neither one of which benefited me.
if i borrow money, i want something tangible to show for it. a strong government, broadband, high speed rail, new roads and bridges, universal health care, an educated populace…
but back to an earlier point, saying that obama out-raised and outspent all of his predecessors is… well, no shit, sherlock! and bush outspent all of his predecessors.
this is what you get when you have corporate control of media, foreign trade, and foreign policy.
have a nice weekend, west seattle. i’ll be back to fight periodically, but my schedule is pretty screwy after labor day.
oh, and from my union contract:
No work shall be performed on Labor Day, except to protect life and property, or by mutual agreement of the Union and the Employer.
cheers, y’all. happy barbecuing.

JanSParticipantand we all now that Romney is out raising everyone in history…but that seems to be OK with Kootchman. Just remember, when it comes to voting, all that damned money still only gets you one vote on election day, rich guys !
September 2, 2012 at 8:06 pm #769192
kootchmanMemberahhhhhh the “rich guy” thing.. I am glad he lives here. As you sit down to dinner.. sometime during the DNC we will zoom pst 16 trillion in deficits.. Look around the table. Every person sitting there will have a debt of $51,000. as the old deficit clock keeps ticking. How you pay for it is the only issue. It’s not just ok JaN it’s wonderful… his opponent has been doing it for over a year.. as many as three a day. And.. it’s working.
September 2, 2012 at 11:39 pm #769193
JanSParticipantand you honestly think that is going to magically change on Jan.21, 2013, if Romney is elected? You, my friend, live on a different planet. Those billionaires wish they could buy more votes for themselves…but they can’t. You step in that booth, pull the curtain, you get once shot….everything being equal..

metrognomeParticipanthmmm … didn’t we have a surplus when Dubya took office? I don’t recall it being there when he left. Wonder why not … let’s see, he started two wars without paying for them and gave Medicare recipients a drug program without paying for it. Won’t even mention the tax breaks.
No, wait, that’s right, Obama did all those things. Singlehandedly. No help from Republicans.
interesting grakh that shoes all the damage Obama’s done to the deficit …
September 3, 2012 at 3:50 am #769195
miwsParticipantBut metrognome, you must remember we don’t mention GW here in kootchland!
It’s not allowed!
Oh, but it’s okay to go waaaaaaayyyy back 35 years, and mention Carter, and what a lousy President, he was.
And all of that humanitarian crap he’s been doing post-Presidency?
WTF is up with that?
I wonder how much the taxpayers are forking over in Secret Service protection for him, on his little globe-trotting ventures.
He’s a bad bad man!
Oh, and it’s also alright to mention the Exalted Great One; Wilson Reagan!

metrognomeParticipantand don’t forget, Carter actually served in the U.S. military for over 7 years. He was even on board a nucular sub. Too bad Nixon, I mean Reagan, doesn’t have a Grammy like Obama has. Or a Nobel Peace Prize like Carter.

sb in wsMemberIt takes a lot of money to replace all the money Bush took from us. Plain and simple. It’s not going to be fixed overnight ether. We all knew that when Obama was running four years ago but it seems that a lot of people have forgotten that. I would rather vote for someone who is going to have my back on abortion and gay rights. We would take ten steps back with Mitt.
Besides, I happen to like Kool-Aid.
September 4, 2012 at 4:08 pm #769199
JanSParticipantwhat flavor do you like, sb? :)
September 4, 2012 at 8:55 pm #769200
kootchmanMemberNo metro we did NOT have a surplus when Bush took office…. where do you come up with this crap? I dare you to find it, This should be good. we had a budget surplus on current account expenditures.. dude, dude, dude…. taking math lessons from Axelrod?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Federal_debt_to_GDP_-_2000_to_2010.png
Obama the Investor…. TARP was a carpet bag of dog turds… but, for the most part, the banks paid back their bailout. The only ones left who still owe money?
(However, Riedl disagrees with Axelrod’s larger point, that Bush deserves the blame for the big deficit. “I’d argue that some of the TARP should be assigned to Obama,” he said. There are only three parts of TARP that are losing money, he said, the auto company bailouts, AIG and the home loan program. Most of the auto bailouts and the home loan program were initiated by Obama, he said.” AIG… that was part of the Buffett empire (is part) no wonder he was in the Obama tank!
Let’s not obscure Dubya was a big spender.. no question about it. But Obama has doubled down and then some. The TEA party is the reformation of the Republican Party…. it happens… Clinton reformed the Democrats… what was the term “trianglization”? Bit Obama has dismantled that and gone back to cronyism and pandering.. Spending galore!
September 4, 2012 at 9:07 pm #769201
dobroParticipant“Let’s not obscure Dubya was a big spender”
But let’s not discuss it and it certainly wasn’t a problem from 2001 to 2008. Where were all you teabubbies then? too busy? not paying attention? what’s the excuse? It seems like all you super smart patriots would have gotten the message before Jan 20, 2009.
Or am I being to harsh? I’m glad it doesn’t have anything to do with racism or partisan politics. But what would it have taken for the teapatriots to see the light a little earlier?

JanSParticipanthttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_United_States_public_debt
from Wikipedia, about Bill Clinton..”The Congressional Budget Office reported a budget surplus between the years 1998 and 2000, the last three years of Clinton’s presidency.”
