AnonymousInactivelattemom… Did you see two DIFFERENT pit bulls than the ones you saw the other day? What is going on!!
I do have to agree with you, lattemom, on the pit bull front. I think there are people that own pit bulls that never have one incident, ever. However, I do believe that pit bulls are the most dangerous dog and that is why they are banned as pets in so many places. It just seems like there are always stories of pit bull attacks. What other dog do you hear half as much as pit bulls attacking? I think that says something. I don;t think it’s imaginary, you see the news stories ALL the time.
Just like any dog, they can snap at any time for any reason, but pit bulls more so.

AnonymousInactiveMy parents little toy chihuaha was attacked by a pit bull at an off-leash park in San Diego. My parents dog was on a leash and the pit bull wasn’t. They couldn’t get the pit bull to release it’s jaws around the chihuaha’s neck. My parent’s dog almost didn’t make it. The owner of the pit bull did pay all the medical bills, but 3 weeks later was sitting at Starbucks with his pit bull off it’s leash.

AnonymousInactiveHi NewResident!
You are right about hearing more attacks by pit bulls than any other breed. I do not allow our kids to go to somone’s house if they have a pit bulls because of all the attacks I have heard and their aggressive nature, they were breed to be fighters.

AnonymousInactiveHi NewResident,
I am just so sorry to hear about your parents dog, I hope it is has healed. And that makes me very angry to hear the owner had the pt bull off leash, obviously he wasn’t very concerned about another attack happening.

You amuse me in ways I cant even articulate. Good luck with this venture. Certainly you are on the road to making some close friends. Best of luck, “Dearie”.

sanMemberNewlatte-
Chill sweet pea. When you reply in an angry frenzy, you manage to make yourself even smaller. Deep breathes. Try a dash of patience and reality and you just might gain some credibility. If you could exhibit some shred of maturity, you just might notice how little you find yourself on the defense. The world isn’t against you, despite your best attempts. So lighten up. No one likes a poopy pants who loves to pipe in with constant negativity. Here’s one more piece of advice – Spellcheck. I’ve heard that it even works on “Complete Freakout Meltdown” mode. Nighty night pumpkin. :)

barmargiaMemberWatch out san and Jerald, if you anger lattemom she starts to cut and paste stuff from Wikipedia.

AnonymousInactiveBlow away san! You must be the idiot who write in the rants and raves on Seattle Times that people find most annoying. I am only negative about you freak. You no longer exisit to me you are a complete waste of time and space. You do not deserve any nice words written about yu so no sweeties, or dearie, just disgust!!

AnonymousInactiveSame to you barmagia! What a name!! So you are a barmaid we get it! Go mix yourself some drinks and call it a night. Maybe we will get lucky and you won’t come back.

sanMemberBarmargia-
Good point. Thanks for the warning. Looks like we both made the cut for the preteen-like attack arsenal. :) Those insults sure cut deep. Have a good day!

AnonymousInactiveAm I missing something? Why is everybody so defensive and angry on this thread?
It seems to really bother some folks that people think pit bulls are aggressive dogs. Is that because they own pit bulls? It just doesn’t make sense that some of you would be so cruel and offended by someone just because she stated her opinion.
Listen, all I know is that if you own a pit bull, you are on notice that your dog could potentially harm another person or dog at any time and for no reason. Just be responsible and take every precaution to guarantee that doesn’t happen.

AnonymousInactiveVery well put NewResident! I like you! :) From one responsibile, intelligent, caring parent to another.

AnonymousInactiveFor anyone that didn’t catch the web master’s comment awhile back, he did verify that lattemom, cinnamon and NewResident are not the same person. Just thought that should be reiterated since some of you must not have seen it.

barmargiaMembersan I thought I got out of junior high many many years ago, I guess I was wrong.
lattemom, I am not a barmaid, but thanks for proving that you are a judgmental name caller. If it were any of your business (sound familiar) I would explain how I came to have that name, but since you will come to your own conclusions without ASKING first then you just go ahead and think whatever you want to think.
NewResident, I actually agreed with your point of people having to be responsible and taking precautions, but I didn’t start off being cruel to lattemom, I simply stated something and she is the one that went off on the tangent.

JenVMemberListen, all I know is that if you own a DOG, you are on notice that your dog could potentially harm another person or dog at any time and for no reason. Just be responsible and take every precaution to guarantee that doesn’t happen.
/ fixed that for you, New Res.
March 1, 2008 at 1:07 am #616130
AnonymousInactiveUm, thanks, JenV, any dog could be harmful at any time. They are after all, animals. Not all dogs, however, are bred for attacking and killing and actually have it in their makeup. So, what I said about pit bull owners being on notice, that’s what I meant.
This thread seems to have run it’s course and I’m sure everyone would agree. Just like any topic, not everyone is going to agree with everyone else.
However, if there are unattended pit bulls running around my neighborhood, I certainly appreciate the heads-up!

barmargiaMemberJen and NewResident, you might be surprised but I agree with you both, and I personally even after knowing people with pits would not want to run across or have a family member or a pet run across the pits, or any dog running loose. When I had my dog and I would walk it there were to dogs, not pits and not sure what breeds, but a popular “family” dog, that would run across the street in a violent manner barking and growling to the point where I carried a stick and a rock. So be careful, be alert, be cautious but don’t be afraid of cared for well behaved dogs, even pits

barmargiaMemberthat should be “two dogs”
