Sorry for this sad post, but I wanted to try and locate the owner of a cat that I found hit in the road (California and Dakota, north bound lane) on Thursday morning. I stopped my car when I saw it. I picked it up out of the road and brought it to the sidewalk shade in front of the business (Accounting Business) beside Corey’s Dry Cleaning at the corner of Dakota and California. It had a blue saftey collar and electronic device (for a cat door?) but no ID or tags. It was a medium sized tan/brown and black tiger striped tabby w/ soft golden tummy. It broke my heart and it was obviously somebody’s baby. Do you know someone missing this cat? I would like them to know what happened to their pet. The nice folks at the Accounting Business said they would figure out how to dispose of the body. There are lots of houses, condos, apts. around that intersection, so I really didn’t know where to start as far as trying to figure out who might own the lovely animal. Do you know?

Was very kind of you to move the poor cat off the road. I hope whoever lost their baby sees this so they know.

You might want to put up a poster at that intersection to let them know what happened. I know from very recent experience that if your pet is lost you do notice every single sign on a pole.

Good on you for your kindness and care of that kitty.
