About the Job:
I’m searching for a part-time Fulfillment Specialist with weekday availability to help me pack and ship orders from my home studio in the Belvidere area of West Seattle. Responsibilities include fulfilling online retail and wholesale orders, packing shipments, inventory packaging and quality control. Because the Fulfillment Specialist manages the majority of all outgoing orders, this role supports Yardia’s mission and core values by creating a positive and personal impact on every customer’s interaction with Yardia.
Packaging tends to take 6-12 hours a week, with more hours during the holiday season rush (mid-October through our early December ordering cutoff date.) We’ll start with 6-8 hours a week (2 days a week) and increase as the holiday season dictates.

I’m looking for a detail-oriented, efficient and resourceful problem-solver with a growth mindset. The ideal candidate enjoys repetitive tasks, working with their hands, and will be able to package shipments in an efficient and secure manner, with a personal touch. They’ll also be enthusiastic to learn ecommerce platforms including Faire, Etsy and Shopify. Training will be provided.

Job Details:
Responsibilities and requirements of the job:
-Fulfill and package ecommerce customer orders, and large wholesale orders
-Package products and maintain quality control
-Balances tedious, repetitive work with consistent attention to detail
-Handwrite gift messages and some shipping addresses
-Organize products and track inventory/supplies needs
-Understanding of general computer skills with ability to learn specific ecommerce platforms
-Ability to commute to north end of West Seattle twice a week, weekday availability
-Ability to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination if hired

Preferred qualifications include:
-Experience with ecommerce or wholesale fulfillment and production
-Loves working fast while also paying attention to details

Physical demands:
-While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to:
-Stand, walk, reach up, bend down and use a stepladder
-Regularly lift and move up to 15 lbs, occasionally lift and move up to 30 lbs
-Use hands and fingers for handling products
-Use visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned

Compensation: $18/hour
