    *** position filled ***
Thank you WSB and West Seattle neighbors.

I run a solo law practice from my home in West Seattle doing Wills and Probate work. I am in need a person who can join me for in-person will signings to act as a witness. Witnesses must be over the age of 18.

The work is intermittent so ideal for someone who is currently out of work but interested in occasional side income. I pay $25 per signing meeting. Your work is to watch people sign documents and add your name and contact info to make the documents effective.

The law requires in-person witnessing of will-signings — even during a pandemic. That means the signings are often happening outside, on back decks or in open garages, everyone with masks and maintaining distance. It’s the kind of thing that was unimaginable 12 months ago but is now almost normal.

If you live in West Seattle, transportation is not required but can make things easier.

Sometimes the signings are one-off events. Sometimes it involves a route with multiple clients and can take the better part of a day with the witness paid for each stop as a separate signing.

I am not looking for a notary public though that experience can be useful.
