Old roller rink. First “swap meet” 10/4-10/5.
Should be a bargain blast!

barkMemberWhat an excellent use of space! It will keep me going through the long ‘garage sale-less’ winter. The swap meet during Summer Fest last year was a hoot.

inactiveMemberMaybe have breakfast at Be’s on 16th FIRST though…..
Free Coffee and nongreasy $6 breakfasts. AND, the coffee is FREE!!!! So, then you have more to spend at the Swap.
Here’s the insiders’ tip: Be starts a fresh pot of coffee when she sees you walking in the door….fresh as fresh gets.
Every time.

GenHillOneParticipantMaybe someone with experience can give us a tutorial on what we might expect or standard shopping SOP? Not too many details on the website yet. For one, “swap meet” is kind of a misnomer, right? Isn’t it more like a flea market (no actual swapping involved)? And vendors will usually expect you to haggle? I’ve only seen the Rose Bowl flea market on tv…

RainyDay1235MemberOh man, that is one of the best memories of my childhood – SWAP MEETS!

swapmeetshopperMemberIt definitely is more of a flea market than a swap meet, but will give opportunity for both, based on what the vendor wants. Sure, vendors can swap with one another, but the main thing will be vendors selling to buyers. I just noticed they are doing a Grand Opening weekend special – $20 a booth for the first 20 vendors (1/2 off). Cool! I hope this thrives. It’s nice to see an old building stay a part of the community not just be torn down and replaced by the new and less unique. We’ll see.

celeste17ParticipantSince this is tomorrow is anyone planning on going? Do we want to meet for something to eat as suggested by westseattledood?
